Back in 2020, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira lit up the Super Bowl Halftime stage — and even brought out Bad Bunny for a surprise appearance. Now that the Puerto Rican superstar has been confirmed as the headliner for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show, fans are wondering if he might return the favor and invite J.Lo to join him.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday (Oct. 15), Lopez addressed the speculation directly — and cleared things up.

“There’s no talk!” she said with a laugh. “I have not gotten any calls! So I just want to put the expectation down.”

Still, the singer and actress didn’t close the door on the idea completely.

“Of course, if he wanted me to do something, I would definitely do it,” Lopez added.

Her comments come just weeks after the NFL announced Bad Bunny as next year’s halftime headliner — a decision that’s sparked both excitement and controversy. Some conservative voices, including former President Donald Trump, criticized the choice, calling it “absolutely ridiculous.” In response, conservative organization Turning Point USA said it plans to host an “alternative” halftime event featuring only English-language music.

Many fans and artists, however, have praised the NFL’s decision, emphasizing that Bad Bunny’s selection has nothing to do with politics. Rising country-rap artist Shaboozey told Billboard that having the Puerto Rican hitmaker headline the show is actually a smart move for the league’s global reach.

“He’s a global superstar, a global icon — and an American citizen,” Shaboozey said. “There’s no better choice.”

Whether or not J.Lo ends up joining him, one thing’s certain: Bad Bunny’s 2026 halftime show is already one of the most talked-about Super Bowl performances in recent memory.
